Why I'm Here in La Verdad?

   I’ve never thought that I will be a mass communication student because speaking in front of many people is difficult for me. All I want is to be an engineer. Mathematics is my favorite subject and all about math catches my attention.

   Why I’m here in La Verdad? It is simply because of the scholarship that it offers for us student who is willing to go in college. This scholarship will help me and also my family not to be burden for them. I know that having a college child is a big burden for them because I know their financial capacity and if I choose to be an engineer maybe it is a big burden for them. Even it is hard for me to be a mass communication student, I accept it and give all my effort to maintain my grades.

    I give thanks to La Verdad Christian College and also to those establish and keep supporting on it. Because of LVCC, I found the truth and it opens my mind that serving Lord God is my responsibility of being exist here in the world. If I were not belonging here maybe my life doesn’t have direction. Because of La Verdad, I’ve benn listen to the doctrine of Christ that’s why I am serving on him.

CL Week

       It is the first time here in La Verdad Christian College Caloocan to have a CL Week. Isn’t it exciting to be the first batch here in LVCC who experience CL Week? The main goal of this event is teach us to read Bible and apply the knowledge that was written on it in our daily life as a Christian. Being a Christian is not only a word for us brethren, it is us who follow what Christ want us to be and what life he wants to have.

       The program starts with a cheering for each section. The first event has a lesson that we must be united in further to achieve our goals. It is a funny event because each section contribute laugh. The second event is an individual competition. There are poster making and photo exhibit competition. As a student of La Verdad, I’m happy to see each section participating in this event and give their best. The third program is the climax of the CL Week. There are Christian dance, solo singing, and Choral which the music is all about songs that praises the name of God. Each section and participants gave their best not just to win but also to give glory in the name of God. The participants of Bible quiz bee and
Bible preaching are all not MCGI. Even there re not members, they give their best and their cooperation for the successful of this event.

        CL week is the best event that I’ve ever experience. It inspires us to be active in praising and giving thanks to God who create all of living things. I just hope that this event will give way to those people who lost the faith.
